Roundtable This Thursday: The Neuroscience of Business Storytelling
Above all else, data leaders must be great storytellers. But at work, do you know how to construct a story effectively that inspires action?
Above all else, data leaders must be great storytellers. But at work, do you know how to construct a story effectively that inspires action? Join me Thursday, April 27 for a virtual networking hour sponsored by the Data Leadership Collaborative.
My "virtual table" will discuss some key ideas from my upcoming class, THE NEUROSCIENCE OF BUSINESS STORYTELLING, including:
1️⃣ Why storytelling is the most important of Peter Drucker's eight skills of effective leaders and why, even though we watch 1,692 hours of stories a year, over 90% of us don't know how to create and tell a story, effectively.
2️⃣ The S.O.A.R. storytelling "operating system," and how it activates neural signatures (pupil dilation, dopamine creation) that indicate learning, vivid long-term memory, and updating our beliefs about the structure of the world.
3️⃣ An exercise from my upcoming class that you can use and apply to immediately start improving your storytelling skills.
Then, we'll open up for discussion, Q&A, and networking.
The session is Thursday, April 27 at 9AM PT/ 12PM ET/ 5PM BT. It's free, sponsored by the Data Leadership Collaborative. Register here: https://lnkd.in/g9MXmSwH
